Spiders and their incredible silk have made it into many different areas of pop culture. One of the most popular forms is Spiderman, who whips through the city using his powerful silk. In our reality, scientists are getting closer to believing a real Spiderman is possible. More recently, Chinese scientists discovered a spider that has silk that can mimic that of a muscle. With its ability to stretch quickly and hold a lot, we could be looking at the early stages of a superhero project in the making.
